Shawn Obermeier, RPA®, FMA®, SMA®

Senior Chief Engineer

Shawn Obermeier joined Weller Management in October of 2019 as Senior Chief Engineer to provide leadership, maintenance oversight, and guidance throughout the entire project. In addition to his work with the existing facilities, Shawn works closely with the design and development team of Port Covington to ensure campus efficiency and quality while providing a connected tenant and visitor experience.

Shawn was previously employed by B&R Construction Services working at The American Dream Mall in Meadowlands, NJ, a 4.5 million square feet designer shopping center and attraction park. Shawn oversaw the mechanical startup of the 12-story indoor ski slope, coordinated the sub-contractors for design intent and actual field installation, tracked the installation and startup of the tenant metering systems, events lighting and time of day lighting systems, and generator and ATS installation and testing.

Before becoming the Lead Engineer at Property Management Associates of Towson Commons in 2017, Shawn worked for various property management companies to support the Towson Commons’ 221,000 sq. ft. mixed use building. Beginning in 2009, the companies that Shawn was a part of at Towson Commons included General Growth Properties, Jones Lang LaSalle, Legacy Cassidy Turley, and Cushman & Wakefield. During this time, he performed the daily requirements and maintenance tasks, in addition to managing the ongoing construction projects at the facility.  These projects included the remodel of multiple single tenant floors, new tenant builds, lobby upgrades and the construction of a new LA Fitness in the previously vacated movie theatre.

Shawn’s strong background in maintenance and electrical work came from his employment at Testerman Electrical Company from 2004-2009 as a mechanic electrician, as well as working as a maintenance technician for both General Growth Properties in 2007-2008 and Transwestern Commercial Services in Houston, Texas from 2000-2004.
